When you log in to Experios for the first time, you will be presented with the Brand Wizard. This will walk you through setting up a brand – a collection of styles which will enable you to easily achieve visual consistency across your Experios projects. When a brand is applied to a project, elements within the project will be styled to match the Brand, unless they are explicitly overridden.
When Creating a Brand, first you will have to give your Brand a name. This will be used to identify your Brand across Experios, allowing for easy application to new or existing projects.
Next you will be asked to select the industry most relevant to your Brand. This information will be used to populate Experios’ prebuilt templates, blocks and layouts with imagery relevant to your industry, should you choose to use them. Once incorporated in a project, these images can be swapped out for your own.
After entering a name and industry for your Brand, you will be prompted to upload your Brand’s Logos. For flexibility, the wizard will accept both square and rectangular logos, with inverted variations. If you don’t have variants of your logo, just upload duplicates into the remaining slots. When you add a Logo element to the canvas, you will be able to choose between any of the four logos you have uploaded here.
Next you will be prompted to enter hexadecimal values for your brand colors. There are four color slots, from most prominent to least prominent. The value in the slot “Primary 1” will be used for heading colours in your brand. The value in the slot “Secondary 1” will be used for the colour of your body text.
Finally, you will be prompted to select or upload your Brand’s fonts. Your Brand will initially accept two fonts – one for headings and another for body text – but you can add more later. The Brand Wizard will reject fonts with spaces in their filenames, so be sure to remove any spaces before upload.
Finally, you will be asked what sort of publications you are going to be creating. Select one of these to complete the wizard.
Once your Brand has been set up, you can make changes to it in the My Brands section of the Experios Dashboard. You can apply your Brand to a project by selecting it on project creation, or alternatively, by selecting ‘Apply Brand’ from the Project Styles Panel.
