Designing your PDFs for Flipbooks Online

Our online platform takes PDFs and converts them into cloud-hosted digital publications that can be viewed on desktop, tablet, and mobile devices. However, your PDF must be single-page spread. Mixture of both spreads will be available in the coming weeks. Double-page spreads are currently not supported by Flipbooks Online. If your PDF is a double-page spread you can always use our desktop software that supports all three types.

Also, please ensure that your PDF’s page dimensions are a maximum of 15 x 15 inches and your PDF is no larger than 300MB.

Print and web are two different things, so it’s a good idea to optimize your PDFs for the web before you publish them through 3D Issue. This will ensure the highest possible image quality and the most efficient digital publications created with our desktop software and our online platform.

Image PPI (pixels per inch) should be 180, both for color and grayscale images, and that complex vector objects should be simplified or flattened (as bitmap). Also, note that InDesign effects such as drop-shadows, glow, special strokes, or transparency may not be fully supported.
