Manually Uploading Flipbooks (Freemium)

Flipbooks are designed for the web and for security purposes will only work within the software by clicking the ‘View’ button, or by uploading them to a web server. In order to upload your Flipbook, you’ll need to install an FTP client, such as FileZilla or Cyberduck. You’ll also need the following information from your hosting provider:

  • Ftp server address
  • Username
  • Password
  • Port number

Before uploading, remove the folder called “DO_NOT_UPLOAD” from the output folder created by Flipbooks.

Uploading your Flipbook

  1. Connect to your server
    Open your FTP client and enter your connection details.
    Click ‘Connect’ or (Quickconnect in FileZilla)
  2. Navigate to the destination folder
    Once connected, you will see the directory structure of your hosting environment.
    From here, navigate to the directory in which your Flipbook will be stored.
  3. Upload your files
    If necessary, rename the output folder produce by Flipbooks Freemium. This folder title will form the last part of the url used to access your Flipbook, so avoid using spaces or special characters in the folder name (hyphens and underscores are okay to use).
    When you happy with the directory name, drag and drop your files from the local panel in the FTP client to the remote panel.
  4. Verify the upload
    Once the upload is complete, navigate to the remote location to see your Flipbook in your browser. The flipbook will be located at, for example:
    https://www.yourdomain.com/path_navigated_to_in_step_2/uploaded_folder_name
