Again this is something that we have enhanced in version 4. There is an option within the software to allow users to access previous editions from within the currnet edition that they are reading.

The management of this archiving feature is managed from within the software. After your digital edition is finished uploading you will be asked if you wish to add the edition to your archive.

To archive your older editions you simply edit the ‘pageflip_archive.xml’ file in your 3D Issue Manager folder (normally stored in C:Program Files3D Issue Pro).

Right click the file and ‘Open With’ Notepad.

You have 2 editions archived already; ‘Issue 1’ and ‘Issue 2’.  So now you want to archive ‘Issue 3’.

Depending on how you want to order your archived items insert;

<item sURL=http://www.3dissue.com/emags/issue3/pageflip.htm sTitle=Issue 3 />

…as above.  You are storing your ‘Issue 3’ (how it appears in the dropdown box in the digital publication) at this location on your website; http://www.3dissue.com/emags/issue3/pageflip.htm.

When your clients click on ‘Issue 3’ from the drop-down they are taken to this publication.

This is updated and ready for you to convert your new publication.
