Detecting URLs Emails addresses & Menus

During the conversion process, each time that a URL or email address is detected on the PDF 3D Issue Professional will add a link. All you have to do is drag them to the correct location and you have live links.

PDF reports will often have bookmarks that act as index in the PDF. To ensure that you do not have to replicate this menu each time we have added an automatic generator saving you valuable time.

Adding interactivity

Add links to your advertisers' websites or enhance interactivity by adding video, audio or animated movies to your digital editions. 3D Issue Professional has a built in designer that allows you to add a host of interactivity to your magazine. By simply drawing hotspots or dragging and dropping buttons onto your page you can:

Customize your template

Customize your own template to suit your individual needs. All of this is done by a few clicks of the mouse and allows you to totally transform the template to meet your own company’s preferences. This feature gives you the power to create your own unique digital edition. Now you can easily:

- Translate the template into any language
- Change the images and icons to suit your company’s preferences
- Change the background of the publication

You can also add to your end readers experience by choosing to insert a rolling banner that appears above the publication. The banner can be linkable, meaning that, for example, you could place advertisements in this space and have the end reader click through to respective URLs.

When the publication is launched you can choose to insert a graphic or even a flash introduction beside the front cover. This opportunity could be used to introduce the publication, have a ‘quick-start’ menu or perhaps create another advertising space.

Tables of content & drop down menus

You can easily create tons of in-depth tables of contents using our easy-to-use menu generator. With Professional you can add up to 8 different top menu options and have each menu open up into 4 different levels. This is a great tool for allowing provide your readers with the ability to immediately jump to specific areas of interest within your digital edition and also you can create a host of menus that link to websites of interest. For example links directly to your advertisers websites.

Remove Bleeds

Crop/Bleed markings are never displayed in the final printed publication and therefore we feel that it is important that 3D Issue Professional allows you to easily remove these.

Once you have converted the publication you are given full control over how your end-user is going to interact with the ‘Emag’. You are unique to every other publisher; therefore we feel it is important to give you the options to make your own decisions as nobody knows your end-user more than you.

Printing

Readers will be able to view all pages within your digital edition and choose the range of pages that they wish to print. You can decide whether you wish to allow your readers the ability to print pages from within your digital edition. By simply un-checking the print option you can remove this ability.

Enable send to friend

Allow your readers to be your promoters by allowing them to forward articles of interest to their friends. If a reader comes across an article they think would be of interest to a friend they can forward a direct link to that friend by simply clicking on the "send to friend" feature.

Keyword Searching

Allow readers to search your digital edition is essential as it allows them to easily find articles of interest. Simply by selecting the "Extract Text" option during the conversion process, 3D Issue will automatically integrate the keyword searching ability.

Archiving

You can easily allow users to jump to other publications from within your digital edition. This is done by simply editing & updating an XML file on your site. If you wish to enhance this offering by allowing readers to search through the full archive of your digital edition, this is also possible.

During the conversion process a html page is created for each page within your digital edition. Each of these html pages contain the text of its respective PDF page. So for example if you have a 12 page brochure, 12 html pages , 1.html to 12.html.

If a users clicks on these html pages they do not see this list of text. When opened these html pages open the flash magazine at that page.

As each of these html pages contains the text its respective PDF page, your webmasters can now use these html files to set up a simple search tool that will allow users to search through all text stored in these files and then when clicking on each result the reader is brought to the page of interest.

Download offline edition

These digital editions can be created for not only use but can also be generated for distributing via CDROM or DVD. The offline versions have all the same functionality as the online digital editions. Offline editions are great for allowing readers to download and view in their own time, portable marketing material or for a low cost way of distributing back issues.

Depending on your license type, you can initiate this option by simply clicking the "Download Edition" option.

Reading right to left

This feature is to cater to international clients such as Arabic or Hebrew publications, who first page would be the back cover of the publication and the last page would be what we would classify as the front cover. Simply by clicking the "read right to left" button in professional, the digital edition is completely reconfigured to handle this publication type. Along with reordering the pages, it will also change all page numbering, keyword search and contents menus to suit the configuration of the publication
