The intro area or page 0 as some refer to it is the space to the left of the front cover in the 3D Issue digital magazine viewer. The area is used for many different uses by our customers, here we highlight some of the most popular ways.
User information and instructions
You may have seen the ‘default intro’ that is available to 3D Issue users. This is a simple image file that highlights some of the key features and controls for the user. This is particular popular with our customers that are just introducing digital magazines to the their readers as it can answer some typical ‘how do I…?’ questions for readers who may not be familiar with this media. Why not create your own, custom instructions to be placed here, you could personalize with your branding and tone which would fit better with your publication than the default option.
Promotion or competition
If you are running a competition or promotion, this area next to the front cover is an excellent way of communicating this to your readers. You can create an eye-catching ad that stands out, don’t forget this image doesn’t have to be the standard square or rectangle shape – consider using stars or call-outs.
Feature ad
Being able to provide your advertisers with different options, prices and placements is a key advantage of digital magazines (as well as the ability to track using Google Analytics) The intro area gives you a unique selling space for featured adverts. This place is often considered the prime ad spot so a great way of generating revenue.
